Wednesday Walks

Our Wednesday walks are usually about 10 miles in length starting within 40 miles of York, to the east of the A1. Popular areas are the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Wolds and the Hambledon Hills. On the third Wednesday of each month two walks are offered, one to the west of the A1, usually in the Yorkshire Dales, and one to the east. We take a picnic lunch. Further details from Steve Hoather. Coach Rambles

We customarily organise two coach rambles each year. This year on 27th May we are going to the Peak District. Two walks start at Hayfield and one at Barber Booth and all end at Edale. The most challenging route will cross Kinder Scout some 80 years after ramblers famously "trespassed" onto these moorlands. There will be pick-up points at Hospital Fields and at Memorial Gardens. For the second ramble on 7th October we are going to Upper Teasdale. Further details from Vera Silberberg or phone 01904-628134.
